About Me.
Hi, I'm Tony!
I have worked in the health and fitness industry for over 16 years, following a career change driven by personal experience. After spending much of my working life in the computer industry as a systems and software engineer with Hewlett Packard, I experienced several years of stress-related ill health. This prompted me to reassess my priorities and, in May 2009, transition into a career focused on health, movement, and wellbeing.
While still working at Hewlett Packard, I began studying a range of massage therapy techniques, including Thai Foot Massage, Swedish Massage, and Seated Acupressure Massage. It was through this training that I discovered Sports Massage Therapy and found the work incredibly rewarding—particularly the ability to help people overcome pain, improve movement, and return to the activities they enjoy. In 2009, I left Hewlett Packard and established my practice as a Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist, later expanding my skill set to include No Hands Massage and Hot Stone Massage.
After several years in practice, I recognised that although massage therapy was an effective tool, it could be limiting when used in isolation. This led me to the work of world-renowned health educator Paul Chek and the holistic C.H.E.K. approach to health and performance. In 2013, I joined the UK C.H.E.K. Academy, qualifying as a C.H.E.K. Practitioner Level 2 and Holistic Lifestyle Coach Level 2. C.H.E.K. Practitioners are trained as exercise coaches, strength and conditioning specialists, and nutrition and lifestyle coaches, allowing for a truly integrated approach to health.
I specialise in sports and remedial massage, incorporating postural and biomechanical assessments, gait analysis, and corrective exercise programming. I take a holistic approach to health and wellbeing, viewing the body as a “system of systems” in which all components are interconnected. My aim is to improve overall quality of life by enhancing mobility, stability, flexibility, strength, power, and long-term health.
You don’t need to be an athlete or have a sports injury to benefit from my services. I work with people of all ages and abilities—from international and competitive athletes across a wide range of sports, to individuals managing everyday aches, injuries, or movement limitations. I also have experience working with children through to older adults with more general, non-sport-related physical concerns.
After practising in Weston-Super-Mare for the past 16 years, I have recently relocated to Cirencester and am excited to meet new clients, build a new practice, and continue helping people move better and live healthier lives. Outside of work, my wife and I enjoy staying active and competing in events such as HYROX, triathlons through UK Triathlon, and cycling events with UK Cycling Events.

As a result of years of heavy weightlifting and physical activity I had reached a plateau and was experiencing restriction and pain. After 6 sessions with Tony I was pain free and had the ability to be stronger than ever. We then went after a problem I had been having since childhood (20years of it) and Tony was also able to ease this for me too.
Tony has a wealth of knowledge and is one of life’s top blokes to top it off.
I’ve often described Tony as having magical hands and have recomended him to many of my friends who needed him as I recommend him to anyone reading this.

I first went to Tony after a potential injury, but found out that it was just very tight muscles. After joining my local squash club and playing 3-5 times a week, it became a must and I found Tony to be extremely knowledgeable and solved every issue I ever had, nothing was too much trouble.
The only issue I had with Tony was that he relocated, well it's your gain and my loss, if you're readying this, then your on to a winner.

I have worked with Tony for many years and he has enabled me to be in the best shape possible for international Touch Rugby and before that semi professional football.
Tony has supported me through acute and chronic injuries but most of his work has been around prevention and maintenance one of the best things about Tony is his diverse knowledge and continue desire to improve his practice.
Tony is also excellent as keeping touch and giving aftercare where needed but sending advice and links etc. Highly recommended!

Tony is exceptional at meeting you exactly where you are. He understands when to build gradually to improve mobility, strength, and real-world function and just as importantly, when not to stack more on. That balance is what’s kept me progressing without injury or setbacks

I’ve been training with Tony for over four years now, and I honestly can’t recommend him highly enough.
In that time, I’ve lost over a stone and a half in weight, gained muscle, and completely changed my shape for the better.
Tony is incredibly knowledgeable about fitness and training, but what really sets him apart is how friendly and approachable he is. I genuinely look forward to going to see him, sessions are always motivating and well-structured.
On top of the training, I’ve also had regular sports massages with him, which have been excellent and made a
huge difference to recovery and overall wellbeing.
If you’re looking for a trainer who really knows his stuff, makes you feel comfortable, and delivers real, lasting results, I wouldn’t hesitate to
recommend Tony.

I started seeing Tony for treatments in 2009, when I had an issue with my arm which hadn’t been solved. He sorted this in that first session and I have been a regular client ever since.
Tony has always been my go to for any injuries or tight muscles. He is constantly carrying out research and professional development and I have always benefitted greatly from this.
His massage treatments are always complemented by the exercises and stretches he recommends, which have been tailored to address my particular issues.
The amount that Tony crams into each session has always made me appreciate the great value for money that he offers.
I would be continuing to go to Tony for my treatments until he retired, had he not moved location.
I recommend him to future clients most highly. You won’t find better!

I have been going to Tony for sports massage for over a decade, I can honestly say that his knowledge and expertise is second to none.
His treatments have reduced pain, and improved functionality, aiding my work-outs and day to day health, which is especially beneficial, due to my disability affecting my posture.
I highly recommend Tony, whether you want to improve athletic performance, or reduce tension from work related stress.

I was recommended to Tony by my partner in 2022 as I had been suffering with hip and back pain whilst playing field hockey. I had a number of massage treatments by Tony which completely relieved my pain and I was able to go back to playing and enjoying hockey again and I have not suffered with any symptoms since. I also had an ankle injury from hockey/running which Tony also fixed. I continued having regular back and leg massage appointments from Tony until 2025. I would highly recommend Tony as a sports therapist. He is extremely knowledgeable in relation to health and fitness.

I’ve been getting sports massages for over 12 years and Tony is hands down the best therapist I’ve been to, and I've tried them all! His understanding of the body is on another level, especially when it comes to injuries. Tony doesn't just work on where it hurts, but takes the time to really figure out what’s actually causing the issue and how everything is connected. Sessions feel thoughtful and focused on proper recovery and long term management rather than quick fixes. I’d highly recommend Tony to anyone dealing with injuries or just trying to stay on top of their body and become the strongest version of themselves!

Tony stops me getting injured and enables me to be the best physical version of myself I can be. Tony’s treatments go beyond the therapy room, educating me on how my particular sport and exercise affects my body and how best to recover and rest during interim periods so I can continue performing optimally. Tony doesn’t just tell you what you want to hear and sometimes the treatments are tough to endure - but always for the greater good! I see great value in the time and money I invest into Tony, so much so that my treatments have been regular and consistent now for years. He’s a great personality and as a result of my regular treatments, has become a good friend to me. 10 out of 10 for Tony!

I have been a client of Tonys for Sports massage and physio for many years. He’s seen me at my best and my worst and supported me through competitions, challenges and the inevitable injuries.
Tony is -
Passionate about what he does and the support he provides to clients to keep in their best shape.
Authentic as he works out and trains hard himself so he understands how important it is for his clients Knowledgeable because he keeps himself informed and up to date with all the latest guidance and best practice which means he is ready for whichever body part problem i throw at him.

I started going to see Tony about 9 years ago when I was having trouble with my hamstrings. Someone I knew through running reccomended him, through massages and exercises he suggested it worked. I kept going to see Tony on a regular basis for massages as I found it helped alot and was money well spent.
I injured my Achilles and Tony got it better through massage and the exercises he reccomended and doing as I was told which was 'don't try running yet' just wait, he kept my head in the right place also. Yes he got my Achilles better and back running, I could not have done it without his help.
It's not just the best massages but the whole exercises/ head space and his help, Tony is just the best package

My first visit to Tony was in January 2013, found through our local gym by my now husband. I have had long standing issues with my back since a car accident in 2009, including degenerated disk and various disk bulges on my spine and I had been nervous about having treatments.
When I first went to see Tony I couldn’t fully turn my neck so couldn’t drive and was desperate for relief, my husband dropped me off and after one treatment I walked out being able to fully rotate my head again and back in the driving seat. Since then I saw Tony on and off, through 2 pregnancies and many years ending up having regular appointments to keep me on track. Tony has a vast range of knowledge and is always learning and keeping up to date with new information and techniques. Tony is friendly, professional, always has your best interests at heart and provides advice and knowledge when needed.

I was a client of Tony for about 7 years pre and post hip operations. His sports massage techniques were invaluable for keeping my lower body in good shape when I was driving 30,000 miles a year and alleviating hip problems prior (and post) a hip replacement.
His ability to tailor his techniques to my specific needs got me through a difficult period and I now have new hips and keep fully fit shovelling coal on a heritage steam railway at 71!

I was recommended to Tony by a friend as I had had osteopathy but I was advised I would need physiotherapy in tandem. The first appointment was to answer a ream of questions then a physical examination of the painful area, and then some gentle physiotherapy.
I have had 3 1/2 years of physiotherapy, and there was a massive improvement. This meant that my pain radically reduced, and thus was able to remain in employment.
I was sad to have to say goodbye to Tony, as he moved to the Cotswolds. Tony is professional, knowledgeable and keeps abreast of changes in physiotherapy, food and general health.
